Meet Ellie, your caring midwife

Pregnancy - Birth - Breastfeeding - Parenting

I am a registered Midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with over 15 years of experience providing personalised care to mums and their families.  I have been an EXPAT since the age of 5, living in 9 cities, 6 countries and 4 continents and I offer my services in English, Italian and Portuguese.

I specialise in supporting clients from different cultures who are looking for an empathic Midwife to feel reassured and supported navigating their pregnancy away from "home".
My call is to change the birthing scene, improving how women and babies experience BIRTH.

I believe every pregnancy and birth is a unique experience, and I am here to provide you with caring,

evidence-based support for you to achieve your positive birthing and parenting experience.

during your journey to becoming a Mum... wherever you are!

My services are provided in person, in the comfort of your home, anywhere within 60 minutes of WD3 7DH

(North London, West London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire).

  • Private Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Parenting Classes

  • Prenatal Rebozo Massage

  • Antenatal and Postnatal Midwifery Care

    • We will decide on your personalised Midwifery care based on your wishes and the most updated guidelines. Usually, I recommend a minimum of one antenatal visit every four weeks until you are 28 weeks and every two weeks until you are 36 weeks, then to meet every week until the birth of your baby.  Because I also work in the local hospital, I currently do not offer birth support. Still, I am happy to recommend you to a fantastic team of Independent midwives to support you with home birth in case you are not planning to give birth with the NHS. After the birth of your baby, I continue to take care of you and your baby, offering at least three home visits within the first week after birth to keep visiting you a minimum of two times per week until the first month of your baby and weekly for as long as you feel my support will be needed. As a Breastfeeding counsellor, I advocate for the importance of the mother's freedom to choose how to feed her baby. I personalise my home visits around the mum and baby dyad, usually focusing on the family's well-being, breastfeeding and ensuring that the parents feel at ease with their parenting instinct.

    • Continuous emotional and educational support from the moment I become your personal Midwife until the conclusion of our professional relationship.

  • One-off Breastfeeding consultations

  • One-off Night support

Testimonials

I feel privileged in welcoming into my hug any pregnant mum feeling anxious about

the birth and mothering experience.

I'm a very empathic person and I love to be surrounded by different nationalities, cultures and beliefs.
Being myself an ex-pat entrepreneur who lived in different countries with three kids, dogs, turtles and a travelling husband, I became specialized in supporting: businesswomen, ex-pat and women with travelling partners.
I’m proud to have received wonderful feedback from some of the women and families I’ve worked with.
For me, the most rewarding part of the job is building strong, beautiful relationships with

my clients and each of them has a special place in my heart!

Feel free to browse some of their testimonials below and check my experience as well.

Birth Doula - Waterbirth

I wholeheartedly believe that I could not have done this without her. I am deeply grateful that it was Eleonora who got to witness the birth of our little girl but also - as she pointed out the first time we met - the birth of a mother and a father.
My husband and I decided to look for a doula about 3 months before the birth of our baby girl. We didn’t have much knowledge about what a doula actually does, but thought it would be useful for us to have support during labor and birth, especially as it was our first baby and we don’t have any family here in Dubai.
We loved Eleonora from our first meeting. She was kind, warm and experienced - and most importantly aligned with our birth preferences.
Eleonora met with us twice before the birth, and checked up on me once a week to make sure everything was going ok. To be perfectly honest, it was still hard for us to imagine how she would be supporting us. The pregnancy was going really well and I figured that the birth would be cruisy as well (haha) and that Eleonora would mostly be supporting my husband to support me. Turns out labor was very long and exhausting and Eleonora was with me every single second, massaging, breathing, coaching, hugging. She was the patient, calm presence my panicked mind needed, and guided me through a drug-free waterbirth like no one else could have.

"I love the unique possibility that every woman has to create a better world by giving birth in a respectful way for herself and her child.

I love life & I love to love unconditionally."
